Today I am sharing with you a recent Focalizing session I experienced, that left me quite mind-blown. For those unfamiliar with Focalizing, it's a trauma-informed, body-based healing modality developed by Dr. Michael Picucci about 30 years ago. It's a holistic approach, a synergy of neuroscience, somatic work, energy work, and spiritual work. Whether you lean towards brain-state science or the mystical, there's something for everyone.

Recently, I had a session with a fellow practitioner. I've been in a liminal space, navigating uncertainty and decisions about the future. My intention was to embody a sense of resource and safety amidst uncertainty and fear about future choices. This episode shares my experience exploring the unknown.

  • Guest Interview on About Her Podcast
    Mar 25 2025

I was recently a guest on the About Her podcast. Anna invited me to talk about my work in focalizing. I wanted her to experience Focalizing herself, so we did a session and our episode shares about our experience during that session and insights we took from our time together. Thank you Anna for being such a wonderful host!

From About Her: "In this conversation, Anna and Christine explore the transformative modality of focalizing, a trauma-informed, body-based approach to healing. Christine shares her journey into this work, emphasizing the importance of self-relationship as a foundation for healthier connections with others. They discuss the unique experiences of clients during focalizing sessions, the significance of curiosity and safety in navigating trauma, and the profound impact of embodiment practices. The conversation highlights the necessity of self-care, co-regulation, and the collective awareness needed to foster emotional intelligence in ourselves and future generations."
