• Colonel Ed Norris (Episode 72)
    Jun 2 2025

We had to stand and salute during this podcast, and for good reason, as we interviewed one of our 'ole Maryland State Police Superintendents, Colonel Ed Norris, also known as NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Norris, and Baltimore City Police Commissioner Norris!

Join Mike Allred and friends (Dave, Kevin, Koz and Todd) in a special two-hour podcast, where we were able to ask the Colonel anything regarding his storied life and career. Nothing was off-limits, so we asked him about his early years and childhood, growing up in Brooklyn, NY. We asked him how he got into law enforcement and who his influences were as he started a 20-year career in NYPD. We ask him about his experiences and many assignments, as well as how he stumbled onto the 9/11 terrorist plot years before we were attacked! We ask about his role in the movie, 'Jack the Ripper in America.' We ask how he ended up as Commissioner in Baltimore City. We ask about his appointment as MD State Police Colonel. We ask about the charges against him, his arrest, and his time serving in federal penitentiaries...and we were just getting started!!

You can hear the answers to all of the above questions and many more in this special story of the rise, fall, restoration and redemption of one of America's best-known cops...a man who loves policing and has seen the best and worst that comes from wearing the badge.

You can listen to Ed and his co-hosts' radio show each morning on the Big Bad Morning Show on CBS WJZ-FM (105.7 The FAN) in Baltimore, MD from 6am to 10am.

Visit Ed Norris' website at www.theednorris.com.

You can find Ed's book, 'Way Down in the Hole,' on Amazon, in hardback and paperback.

As always, we are interested in our audience's opinions. Email us at Mike@allredwhiteandblue.com and let us know your response to our interviews.

  • The Ashli Babbitt Shooting Argument (Episode 71)
    May 26 2025

Even the best of friends do not see eye to eye sometimes...and this episode is a perfect example of that.

Join Mike Allred and friends (Dave, Koz, Todd and The Captain) as the conversation starts normally enough with several tame items of discussion, but it suddenly gets heated over some life and death topics. Some off-hand comments regarding the Ashli Babbitt shooting, and who is responsible, reveal some strong differences of opinion, and it turns explosive. What makes a police shooting a legal one, and how is that judged? Who judges it?

Some strong opinions emerge among all of the Amigos, and surprisingly, the retired law enforcement officers are in direct disagreement, revealing some of the flaws of our arguments, and flaws of the justice system itself.

Listen and and see who's opinion most closely matches yours. Also, we're interested in our audience's opinions. Email us at Mike@allredwhiteandblue.com and let us know how you feel.
