About this listen

The Adventures of Harry Lime || (18) Farthings for Your Thoughts | November 30, 1951

The story of a farthing worth twenty thousand pounds Sterling! It all starts in a pub in Liverpool. In England where they come from a farthing won’t buy you the second section of the day before yesterday’s newspaper. In fact you could hardly describe a farthing as money at all. Once upon a time however there was a farthing that was worth £20,000. It happened this way, you see I have a girlfriend beautiful and mad as the moon called Lady Fortune.
