The year is 1895 and Sherlock Holmes is in top form, so it's time for him to take on a new case. He has been approached by Inspector Stanley Hopkins of Scotland Yard to assist with investigating the murder of Captain Peter Carey, a whaler, who was so odious that he was known by his peers as Black Peter. It's a gruesome affair, and Inspector Hopkins needs the expertise of Sherlock Holmes to help piece together the clues that were left on the scene.
