It's inhumane to oppress people without dignity or care just because of their ethnicity, religion, or language. Borders shouldn't dictate people's lives, and it's alarming that many people born with the privilege of freedom feel justified in others suffering as though they don't deserve similar opportunities.

While we don't know how long we have to live, how our time ends, or where it will happen, ultimately, it doesn't matter. How something ends and its timing doesn't change that endings are inevitable. However, sometimes reflecting on and understanding why things happen helps to find meaning in tragedy and loss.
