Having a Doula decreases the chances of having a cesarean section by 39%, along with a lesser amount of epidural and Pitocin. The Post-Covid policy of the majority of the hospital in the US of having one attendant with the patient has often made her unavailable besides her client. She is working to enable policy changes for Doula to be beside the birthmothers to help them have a better experience in labor in hospitals and wants people to voice out to the hospitals in this regard as they listen more to their patients than businesses like her.
