Based on Characters created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett and H.R. Geiger.

Episode Written by Showrunner Noah Hawley and Robert De Laurentis

    Episode Directed by Dana Gonzales

Spoiler filled synopsis: At the crash site in New Siam, Nibs begins to question her purpose, asking Curly why the hybrids are all named after Peter Pan characters and why Marcy gets to be Wendy.

Boy Kavalier orders the specimens be brought to Neverland Island for study, despite objections from Kirsh and Dame Sylvia.

Morrow finds Smee and Slightly guarding the Xenomorph eggs and interrogates them, suspicious of their childlike behavior. He downloads the specimen data from the Maginot and plants a device on Slightly before escaping a hatching xenomorph egg and Kirsch.

Meanwhile, Wendy finds her brother and is forced to fight the Xenomorph after it has laid a trap using Hermit as bait. Wendy stops it from killing Hermit with a meat hook, and instead she kills it but sustains serious injuries along with her brother.

Returning to the island, Hermit undergoes surgery and the Sylvias tend to Wendy. Elsewhere, on the loose having escaped into New Siam, Morrow calls Yutani, and insists on retrieving the specimens despite being ordered to return home.

Boy Kavalier inspects the specimens a little too closely until Kirsh removes him for his own protection. While his advisor, Atom Eins, questions Smee and Slightly about their encounter with Morrow.

Later, unknown to anyone else, Morrow contacts Slightly via the device he embedded in him during their first meeting. He convinces Slightly to be his friend.

Meanwhile Curly confronts Kavalier about his favoritism towards Wendy, believing herself to be the best hybrid.

Kirsh, Tootles, and Curly dissect a facehugger and introduce its larvae to Hermit's lung, removed during surgery.

Wendy awakes, seemingly intercepting signals from the Xenomorph eggs which cause her pain. She ultimately collapses in the laboratory containing the eggs.

The Sandman 205 "The Song of Orpheus" Spoilers

    Episode teleplay by

    Episode directed by Jamie Childs

Synopsis: Remorseful about Wanda's death, Dream attends her funeral where Death persuades him to make amends with Delirium. Dream enters Delirium's realm and eventually reconnects with her. Resuming their quest to locate Destruction, they seek advice from Destiny. He tells Dream that only his son, an oracle of Endless blood, can help them. In a flashback to Greece, 1700 BC, the Endless attend the wedding of Orpheus, son of Dream and Calliope. That night, however, Orpheus' wife Eurydice dies from a snake bite. Orpheus begs Dream to help him retrieve Eurydice from the Underworld, but he refuses. With Destruction's help, Orpheus then approaches Death and she reluctantly makes him immortal, allowing him to travel to the Underworld. Once there, Orpheus persuades Hades and Persephone to revive Eurydice, but then fails the test of faith presented to him, leaving Eurydice to stay dead. Against the caution of Calliope, the desperate Orpheus lets himself be torn apart by Maenads, murderous worshippers of Dionysus. He, however, cannot die and begs Dream to kill him, to no avail. In the present, with the words of Destiny that “those who seek Destruction usually find it” a distraught Dream and Delirium depart to find the family oracle Orpheus.

We continue our discussions with Alien Earth Episode 2 "Mr. October" an action packed episode featuring some brand new terrifying creatures. We chat all about it in spoiler filled details.

Alien Earth Episode 2 "Mr. October" Details

Based on Characters created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett and H.R. Geiger.

Episode Written by Showrunner Noah Hawley

    Episode Directed by Dana Gonzales

Spoiler filled synopsis: The head of Prodigy corporation, Boy Kavalier, tells his colleague, Dame Sylvia, that he formed the Hybrid project to compete with artificial intelligence, and has granted Wendy additional abilities as he wishes to create a person smarter than him.

He declines Weyland-Yutani's request to secure the Maginot's proprietary contents, warning any incursion on his territory will be considered a hostile act.

Meanwhile, at the crash site, Hermit is chased by a Xenomorph and separated from his colleagues.

It tracks him to the higher floors of the tower, killing another soldier and massacring an apartment of wealthy residents who refused to evacuate.

He is saved by Morrow, who tasers the Xenomorph and then him. Morrow encases the alien in a membrane and leaves to escape the Prodigy controlled area, but the Xenomorph regains consciousness and escapes after killing numerous other soldiers. Mysteriously it spares Morrow as it leaves.

Arriving in Prodigy City, Hybrids Tootles, Smee, Nibs, and Curly encounter two other dangerous extraterrestrial specimens. A hanging pod that looks like flora but which Kirsch believes to be Fauna, and Octi-eyeball, an eyeball with tentacles. Meanwhile, Wendy locates her brother with Slightly, a fellow Hybrid, but he doesn't recognise her.

Slightly reveals her true identity to a shocked Hermit who was told his sister had died. Hermit realises it's his sister Marcy after Wendy recounts very specific memories from their childhood.

The three encounter several Xenomorph eggs and are ordered by Kirsh to contain them until a HazMat team arrives. But they are tracked by a Xenomorph who falls through a hole in the ship with Hermit. Wendy chases after the two, as Slightly stays behind to “guard the omelette”.

Welcome fellow Lost Boys to our podcast all about Alien Earth Episode 1 "Neverland". In this episode John and Derek chat all about the intricate premiere of Noah Hawley's new show set two years before Ridley Scott's 1977 cinematic masterpiece Alien.

The podcast is spoiler filled so make sure you've watched the episode before you join us for our chat.

Alien Earth Episode 1 "Neverland" Details

Based on Characters created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett and H.R. Geiger.

Episode written and directed by Showrunner Noah Hawley

Spoiler filled synopsis: In 2120, five companies control Earth and the colonized Solar System, including the recently founded Prodigy Corporation.

The USCSS Maginot, a Weyland-Yutani C-class deep space research vessel, approaches Earth after a 65-year expedition to obtain extra-terrestrial specimens, among them facehuggers.

On Earth, at Prodigy's Neverland research island, a terminally ill child named Marcy becomes the first hybrid, having her consciousness transferred to an adult synthetic, and renames herself Wendy after the character from Peter Pan.

Adjusting to her new body with the assistance of Lady Sylvia and synthetic mentor Kirsh, Wendy guides and oversees several other children who undergo the procedure.

A malfunction compromises the Maginot's navigation, placing it on a collision course with Earth. Some specimens get loose, and a grown Xenomorph kills most of the crew, with the exception of security officer Morrow who sacrifices a member of the crew and uses Mother's impact room to survive the impending crash and the Xenomorph.

The ship crashes into a tower in Prodigy City, New Siam, where Wendy's human brother Joe DiMaggio works as a medic and corporate soldier, with the tag Hermit. CEO Boy Kavalier asserts the Maginot's contents now belong to Prodigy, and deploys Kirsh, Wendy, and the other hybrids to assist with search and rescue and to test their enhanced capabilities.

Security officer Morrow, who survived the crash in a reinforced panic room, moves to protect the cargo and go after the fugitive specimens. He detains two Prodigy soldiers, who are killed by a leech-like specimen.

As Wendy and Kirsch fly towards New Siam with the other hybrids, collectively called the Lost Boys, she remarks to Kirsh that she wants to save her brother from death.

    Episode Directed by: Todd Harris

Spoiler Filled Synopsis: In Ethiopia, in the middle of a raging battle between the Ethiopians and the invading Italian army, Prince Tafari and the War Dog Kuda recover the Wakandan axe made from Vibranium that was lost to the sea when Noni battled The Lion.

On the return to Wakanda with the artifact, an unknown high-tech entity phases in front of the vehicle driven by Kuda. While initially perceived as a threat they discover the entity is in fact a future Wakandan Queen who has teleported to their time to save Wakanda and the earth from an invading alien army called The Horde.

The Queen informs them that the dire situation confronting her time is because Wakanda never integrated into the wider world and so The Horde picked off humankind followed by Wakanda. This resulted from a hinge point created by Killmonger who, ultimately through his intervention to secure and lose the Wakandan throne, convinced the true heir, King T’Challa, to engage with the outside world.

Armed with this information and convinced she is telling the truth, Prince Tafari and Kuda head back to the City of Adwa to return the axe and so set up the chain of events leading to its theft (or repatriation) by Killmonger from the British Museum.

In explaining their actions to the Wakandan Council, Prince Tafari’s only regret is that he wishes he could have seen the future that he and Kuda fought for!

Derek and John are back for another tale of the War Dogs with Eyes of Wakanda Episode 3 "Lost and Found" and look who is in the snowy mountains of China. We chat all about it in our spoiler filled discussion of the episode.

Eyes of Wakanda Episode 3 "Lost And Found" Details

    Executive Producer: Ryan Coogler

    Series helmed by: Todd Harris

    Episode Written by: Marc Bernardin

Episode Directed by: John Fang & Todd Harris

Spoiler Filled Synopsis: In Kun’Lun, China, 1400, Agent Basha infiltrates this high mountain society to recover a Wakandan artifact lost for over a thousand years. Pretending to be a lost traveller he is taken in and cared for by a woman called Jorrani. During his recovery he is drawn into the community by Jorrani and they develop feelings for one another. At the city's Dragon shrine Basha and Jorrani take time to offer meditation at the city’s sacred Dragon statue where he spots the artifact as the tongue of the dragon.

But after several weeks, Basha, now back to full health, attempts to quietly recover the artifact but he can not remove it from the statue and has to take the entire head. He manages to escape Kun’Lun in his hidden flying craft despite being caught stealing the sacred object.

Back in Wakanda, he is greeted by Captain Evo, head of artifact security, who is concerned that the intel for this mission was off. But Basha arrogantly flaunts how easy the mission was and how primitive he saw the people of Kun’Lun. But as Basha and Ebo replace the artifact they suddenly realise that he has brought back an unexpected visitor from Kun’Lun who has infiltrated Wakanda.

Basha finally catches up with the masked infiltrator who has made their way to the artifact collection to return the sacred Dragon to Kun’Lun. As they fight it is revealed to be Jorrani who is none other than Kun’Lun’s protector - the Iron Fist.

Deploying her powerful glowing fist, Jorrani manages to finally get Basha’s attention where he learns that the people of Kun’Lun had not knowingly stolen the Wakandan treasure and that in fact over the last 1000 years the Dragon and the artifact has become a more important and sacred symbol to her city and society than it ever was to Wakanda.

Knowing this Basha and Ebo concoct a story to hide Jorrani’s presence in Wakanda and in turn Jorrani plucks the tongue from the statue's head saying if Basha had only asked she would have helped.

The Iron Fist returns to Kun’Lun with the Dragon head and Basha learns humility.
