About this listen
Listen… life has taught me one thing the hard way: it’s better to keep your hands clean than to let folks drag you into their dirt. I don’t have time to be messy and then wonder why my blessings feel blocked. Nope. God honors clean hands, clean hearts, and people who let Him be God without trying to fix everything themselves (because Lord knows I tried… and failed 😂.
Let me tell y’all something real. I have lived long enough, cried enough, and apologized enough for things that weren’t even my fault to finally understand this truth: it is better to have clean hands than to have dirty ones. Life will test you. People will test you. And sometimes the old you wants to rise up and clap back so loud that heaven itself pauses… but God be like: “Nope. Don’t touch it. I got this.”
And honestly? He’s right.
We think handling things ourselves means we’ve won. But every time I tried to fight fire with fire, I ended up smelling like smoke. Every time I tried to prove a point, I ended up losing my peace. And every time I let someone pull me into their chaos, I walked away feeling further from God, not closer. That’s when I started realizing that the biggest spiritual flex is not reacting. It’s clean hands.
Clean hands don’t mean perfect. Clean hands mean you refuse to roll around in the mud just because somebody else lives in it. Clean hands mean you choose integrity when revenge looks real tempting. Clean hands mean you trust God enough to step back and let Him deal with people the way only He can — fair, firm, and final.
And let me be honest… sometimes watching God handle it is better than anything you could’ve said or done. (If you know, you know 👀)
God blesses those who honor His commands. Not sometimes. Not halfway. Not when it’s convenient. He honors those who actually try — even when the trying is exhausting. And baby… being the bigger person is exhausting (I know you felt that in your spirit 😩😂).
But here’s the truth: Your blessings are tied to your obedience, not your retaliation.
When you trust God to be God, you stop carrying weight that was never yours to lift.
We be out here stressed, tired, ready to fight spiritual battles with emotional weapons, when God is saying:
“Give it to Me. Keep your hands clean. I bless clean hands.”
And He does. Every time.
The moment I stopped defending myself, God became my defender.
The moment I stopped trying to expose people, God exposed the truth.
The moment I stopped trying to force peace, God gave me real peace.
So yes — I have learned through life, through pain, through growth, and through plenty of lessons I did not sign up for — clean hands get blessed hands. God will NEVER stop favoring someone who refuses to play dirty. He will lift you, cover you, and fight for you in ways you didn’t even pray for.
All He asks is that you trust Him enough to stay out of His way.
So today, if you’re tempted to fight, clap back, expose somebody, drag them just a little bit (😂), or return the energy they gave you, stop… breathe… and remember:
Clean hands open doors. Dirty hands close them.
Let God be God.
Let Him carry what you weren’t meant to.
And walk into your blessings with hands so clean that heaven recognizes you instantly. 🙌✨
