But first, they discuss Will Muschamp’s return to Austin as the Longhorns' new defensive coordinator. The guys weigh in on why this reunion makes sense, Pete Kwiatkowski's time as Texas' defensive coordinator and the difficulty of moving on from a coordinator as a head coach. Then, Michigan interim head coach Biff Poggi joins the show. Poggi details the difficult situation Michigan’s players have been thrust into and how he unfortunately expects many of them to opt out of the Citrus Bowl. Poggi also provides his perspective on the current state of college football, discussing how the game has changed, how it needs to continue to change and what challenges the current state presents for both players and coaches. Devin Gardner, former Michigan QB and current co-host of The Blue Print: A Podcast on the Michigan Wolverines, joins the guys as they continue to preview the Citrus Bowl. Devin talks about how he modeled his game after Vince, how Michigan QB Bryce Underwood has developed over the course of his freshman season, how Poggi is aiming to bring stability back to Ann Arbor and how the CFP needs to improve its format.
