About this listen
Born during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, I was forced to leave Kabul with my family when I was 5 years old during the war. In Pakistan, life became complicated when my father and grandmother died. I America, life became much harder for me as I dealt with abuse, hardship, and trauma for years. As a result, I moved to China for 10 years. Eventually, I found my way to a peaceful life and returned to settle in America. Today, I am the father to a beautiful little 10 month old girl, Charlotte. As I talk about the challenges, I am also talking about how I healed my wounds along the way. This is a story of hope.
