About this listen

Advocacy day 1Description

Partners in Policymaking. The course, which is available in many states, helps people with disabilities transition into adult life.Kevin describes how the program, and especially the connections he made with other people, changed his life. He learned he wasn't alone, had resources, and was not helpless. The episode also includes a "little housekeeping" note, where Kevin explains that he has changed the podcast's name from "The Purposely Broken World" to "The Advocacy Life" to be consistent with all of his other social media. He also announces a new content schedule, with a weekly podcast episode every Wednesday and a free community blog post once a month.
