About this listen

This was a jam-packed satsang, given in December 2022, in which Swamiji offers a guided meditation on sacrifice (or surrender) to the greater Reality underlying everyone and everything, emphasising Advaita (non-duality), and talks about the symbolic meaning of Christmas.

He also explores the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 8), explaining and revising the yogic definitions of Brahman, adhyatma, karma, adhibhuta, adhidaiva and adhiyagya; discussing preparing for death through meditation and dying before one dies, rebirth, the psychic realms and the importance of bhakti yoga (devotion).

In the question and answer session, Swamiji answers questions on death, the scientific acceptance of the unreality of time, bringing yoga into daily affairs, the importance of simplifying our lives, inspiring others through our yogic practice without preaching, and being committed to one’s practice.
