About this listen

Sept. 21, 2025 ~ Detroit Philanthropy will bring together leaders from the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors for a conversation on collaboration during challenging times. Detroit Philanthropy President and founder Rachel Decker talks about her organization's efforts to help non-profits capitalize their work and fundraising efforts. Born out of a successful suicide crisis response protocol within Corewell Health’s medical system called the “Blue Envelope,” the behavioral health team collaborated with local schools to customize the comprehensive School and Collegiate Blue Envelope programs. Corewell Health has equipped thousands of school-based teams with S.A.F.E. response protocols that can quickly be activated, when a student is expressing thoughts of suicide. Corewell spokesperson Jody Sprague joins Michigan Voices. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
