About this listen

On this episode, Hannah speaks to Jo Stockdale.

This is how Jo describes herself:

"I do the work that I do because children’s social and emotional competence and wellbeing is more important now than ever before.

But, unlike their physical health, their wellbeing only tends to be prioritised once they're in difficulty or crisis.

I'm a trainer, consultant and resource developer, and I work with all kinds of professionals and practitioners, as well as parents, to promote a deeper understanding of children's social and emotional worlds.

I help them to understand the heart of children's difficulties, instead of just seeing the symptoms, so they can demystify disengagement and 'challenging' behaviour, strengthen poor resilience and self-esteem, and so they can thrive, and not merely 'cope'."

Just from this, you know that this is going to be an incredible conversation.
