About this listen

An active weather pattern is expected to continue through the upcoming week. Wednesday afternoon and evening, scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop along and east of a stalled frontal boundary from central Texas into the Ark-La-Tex. Though the tornado risk is low with this round of storms, they will have the potential to produce large hail and damaging winds. Wednesday night, the unstable airmass will move north and west with the approach of the next disturbance. This will turn the stalled frontal zone Wednesday evening into a warm front by Wednesday night. After midnight, additional thunderstorms are expected to develop near a developing surface low and along the northward-moving warm front. Storm coverage will be highest north of I-20, though a couple of isolated strong thunderstorms can't be ruled out across central and east-central Texas. Large hail, damaging winds, and a couple of tornadoes will all be possible Wednesday night.
