About this listen

Josh and Melissa Bonesteel know firsthand that faith isn’t just tested in the good times—it’s forged in the trials. Married for 20 years and raising two teenage daughters in Cypress, TX, they have navigated the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, marriage, and faith, all while holding steadfast to their belief in God’s plan.

Together, they own two businesses—one has been a continuous challenge, stretching their resilience and trust in God, while the other has been a divine provision, sustaining them through the financial losses of the first. Through it all, their faith has deepened, shaping their perspective on perseverance, trust, and the undeniable grace of God.

Beyond their personal and professional journey, Josh and Melissa have a heart for marriages. As leaders of re engage, a marriage enrichment program at their church, they are passionate about helping couples grow in their relationship with Jesus—strengthening their commitment not only to each other but to God’s greater purpose in their lives. They understand the weight of spiritual battles, having faced their own attacks, and they are determined to help others recognize and overcome them with faith-filled strategies.

That’s why they created Strength in the Struggle—a podcast dedicated to real stories, honest conversations, and unwavering faith in the midst of adversity. Through candid discussions and biblical insights, Josh and Melissa invite listeners to lean into their own struggles, embracing them as opportunities for growth, resilience, and deeper intimacy with Christ. Their mission is simple: to inspire, encourage, and equip couples and individuals to stand firm in faith no matter the challenge.

If you’re seeking hope, wisdom, and biblical perspective through life's toughest seasons, Strength in the Struggle is for you.Copyright Josh and Melissa Bonesteel

  • Episode 58 - How to Increase Your Energy Naturally
    Feb 22 2021
It seems like one of the most common things moms struggle with is energy. Often times, it can be lack of sleep that contributes to low energy, but that's not the only thing impacting energy.

You can't always sleep more hours, so impacting the quality of your sleep is necessary in order to increase your energy. Here are some ways to impact the quality of your sleep:

    1. Stay hydrated - drink plenty of water.

    2. Avoid certain foods - foods that are processed, high in sugar and fried can add to low energy, and poor sleep.

    3. Avoid energy drinks and those high in sugar.

    4. Do eat lean protein.

    5. Do eat healthy carbs - oats, rice, quinoa, fruits and veggies

    6. Avoid stress - if you feel overwhelmed, do what you can to eliminate that stress before bed, so it does not impact your sleep.

    7. Exercise - if nothing else, walk at least 30 minutes a day.
