[asks suspiciously] WHERE is Ruby? Club Surrender's headliner Ruby Laroo disappeared inexplicably after her first song, forcing club owner Lucy Sapphire to come out of retirement and perform, and causing me to call Detective Jimmy to investigate. [Break] In this episode, Detective Jimmy arrives to find out that our Coffy Town Players and Pearls are as resistant as they are resilient. Far be it for something like a missing person’s case to stand in the way of Funky John’s plan to get back in position as the show director.
