About this listen

“Story Seeds – From Ireland to Italy (and back again!)” is a podcast that tells the story of collaboration — between children, between languages and cities, between imagination and reality.
It is the result of a story sharing project, founded by the European Union, that brought together 24 classes from Milan and Dublin. The children themselves are at the heart of each episode, with their wild ideas, dreams, and words. The stories you’ll hear speak of places that matter to them — real or imagined — and show how easy it can be to build a bridge between cultures through writing, storytelling, and creativity.
The first episode is a short journey behind the scenes. We’ll take you inside our workshop to let you hear what happens when kids write together: the sound of pencils moving, voices blending with laughter, and stories coming to life!
From the second episode onward, you’ll listen to the stories created by Italian and Irish children — written, read, and performed by them.
“Story Seeds – From Ireland to Italy (and back again!)” is a podcast for those who believe in the power of words, in the beauty of human connection, and in the strength of shared storytelling.
It’s an invitation to listen without judgment, to pause and be amazed, and to make space for imagination.
This podcast is produced by La Grande Fabbrica delle Parole and Fighting Words, in collaboration with Insieme nelle Terre di Mezzo and Intrecci Media.
The project is supported by Municipality 6 of Milan and funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
