About this listen
On Part 2 of the inaugural episode of BEST TV NEVER MADE, hosts Peter Holmstrom (author, The Center Seat: 55 Years of Trek) and Ryan Matsunaga (Director of Marketing, BOOM! Studios) continue on the conversation with Lisa Klink (Star Trek Voyager) and Ryan Britt (author, Phasers on Stun!) on the first unmade episode of Star Trek: Phase II — In Thy Image. This week, we break down the second half of the script, with insights into what Star Trek might have evolved into had this series been produced.
In the 1970s, Phase II was the working title for a TV series that would have kickstarted a whole new chapter for the Star Trek universe and Paramount Studios. The series would have continued the adventures of the original series characters including James T. Kirk, McCoy, Chekov, Sulu (but surprisingly, no Spock!). Multiple scripts were written, sets were built, and casting was completely underway — right up until the show was canceled. Learn more about this fascinating chapter of the Star Trek legacy on the second installment of our two part conversation on Star Trek Phase II: In Thy Image, on BEST TV NEVER MADE.
