Oggi parleremo della temperatura corporea, il primo dei quattro parametri vitali che noi veterinari dobbiamo prendere in considerazione quando visitiamo un paziente. La temperatura ci dà infatti immediatamente un’indicazione sulla presenza di un’infiammazione o un’infezione nel caso in cui sia aumentata e l’animale abbia la febbre. Nel cane l’ intervallo di temperatura considerato normale è compreso tra 37,5 e 39,2 °C. Nel gatto tra 38 e 39,5°C.Quindi, sulla base di questi valori, possiamo dedurre che sopra i 39,2 nel cane, 39,5 nel gatto, l’animale abbia la febbre. Vi siete mai chiesti però perché si sviluppa la febbre?
