 Der 16. April 2004 zaubert wohl auch heute noch allen Frankfurter Eishockey-Fans ein fettes Lächeln ins Gesicht. An diesem Tag holen die Frankfurt Lions (heute Löwen) den ersten und bis heute einzigen Meistertitel in der höchsten deutschen Spielklasse DEL. Es ist damals eine komplette Sensation, auch weil der Verein in der Vorsaison eigentlich sportlich absteigt.
