  • "On the Mountain, the Lord Will Provide" with Nigel Bennett
    Feb 8 2026
This is the talk from our 10:45 service on 8 February 2026. The reading was Genesis 22:1-19. In a world of testing times, we consider Abraham’s supreme test on Mount Moriah and what it teaches about willing obedience and God’s unfailing provision. Abraham trusts, steps out early, and discovers ‘The Lord will provide’—a ram in place of Isaac—pointing us to Jesus, the true substitute given so we might live. The talk urges us to trust and obey the Lord who provides all we need, especially in trials, and to submit our plans to his. Philippians 4:19 echoes the promise: God supplies every need in Christ.

  • "Laughter, Grace, and God’s Perfect Timing" with Jos McCabe
    Feb 1 2026
This is the talk from our 10:45 service on 1 February 2026. The reading was Genesis 21:1–7. We explore the birth of Isaac as a joyous sign of God’s grace, faithfulness and perfect timing. Despite Abraham and Sarah’s missteps, God keeps his promises, turning doubt into laughter. The talk connects these ancient assurances with Jesus, in whom every promise is “Yes”, and with the everyday reality of waiting, trials and hope. We’re invited to trust God’s timing, hold to his word, and take heart that he never leaves or forsakes us. It’s an encouragement for anyone carrying burdens to keep walking the journey of faith, renewing strength in his presence, and anchoring hope in his unchanging character.

  • "Blessed to Be a Blessing" with Tim Green
    Jan 25 2026
This is the talk from our 10:45 service on 25 January 2026. The reading was Genesis 18:1–15 and Galatians 3:6–8. Tim explores Abraham’s generous welcome at Mamre, the startling nearness of the Lord, and the repeated promise of an offspring through whom all nations would be blessed. Linking Genesis to Galatians, he traces the line from Abraham to Jesus and on to a worldwide family, urging us to remember we are blessed to be a blessing. With moving stories from Muslim contexts, he invites us to listen, obey and share Christ’s good news with humility and warmth, trusting God to use simple acts of hospitality and courage.
