We near the end of Matthew and that means then end of Jesus work for that time. He eats with his apostles, prays for the cup to pass but submits to God's will, and he faces arrest. Disciples are ready to fight for Jesus and yet flee when not allowed to by Jesus himself. Judas fails to recognize Jesus as more than a teacher and teacher and Peter fails to believe in Jesus when he suggests that he knows himself better than Jesus does. It is a bleak moment but do not worry, there is hope and a light is at the end of this tunnel.
