Possiamo definirlo lo (S)pain GP per tutti i fan ferraristi: dopo una disastrosa P19 per LeClerc nelle qualifiche, dovuta ad un problema alla sua monoposto, i drammi per il monegasco sono proseguiti anche in gara. Gran Premio nettamente più positivo per la Mercedes, che con gli upgrades introdotti a Monaco hanno completamente rivoluzionato la W-14. Max Verstappen continua ad essere irraggiungibile però: vince il GP con oltre 19 secondi da Lewis Hamilton. Altro disastro per McLaren: problemi meccanici e di pit stops Non meglio per l'Aston Martin di Fernando Alonso, che è costretto ad accontentarsi di un P7.
