• CK Mailbag: Would pace and role adjustments for Wemby help avoid injuries?
    Nov 20 2025

Matthew Tynan fields questions from subscribers over at the Corporate Knowledge newsletter (matthewtynan.substack.com), covering a wide range of topics.

    In the show:

    • Would the Spurs consider playing at a slower pace to help prevent all these soft-tissue injuries moving forward?
    • What if San Antonio leaned into Victor Wembanyama as a No. 2 option rather than a No. 1, allowing him to conserve energy and wear and tear?
    • What do we make of the early seasons of Devin Vassell and Jeremy Sochan?
    • Plus, more...

  • CK After Dark: The return of The Vic Show
    Nov 11 2025

Thank you to everyone who tuned in live for the latest edition of Corporate Knowledge: After Dark, this time after Victor Wembanyama went crazy in the fourth quarter to lead the Spurs to a 121-117 comeback win in Chicago.

This is why we watch sports, people. The ups and downs and ebbs and flows are all part of the wonderful rollercoaster ride, and Wemby put on a show worth the ticket price.

    Tonight’s topics included:

    • Vic scores 18 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter to bring his team back from a 12-point deficit and burying the Bulls with two dagger 3-pointers on back-to-back late possessions.
    • Welcome back Luke Kornet, who spent much of the final frame on the court next to Wemby and played a major role on both sides of the ball. “French Vanilla” is back in action.
    • Steph Castle just keeps hitting singles.
    • Plus, other stuff…

  • Banged up Spurs need reinforcements, adjustments after loss
    Nov 5 2025

First, Matthew Tynan and Trevor Zickgraf discuss the Spurs' loss to the Suns, Wemby's struggles, and Dylan Harper's bummer of an injury.

Then, after the break, they break down how the rotations will be affected by players who will soon be returning from injury -- specifically De'Aaron Fox, once he finally hits the court once again.

  • Surprised or not surprised? That is the question...
    Oct 30 2025

First, Matthew Tynan and Isaac Levy-Rubinett of The Ringer talk about San Antonio's early season developments, and whether or not any of them are surprising.

Then, after the break, they get into which of those trends are here to stay, and which ones may be temporary.

  • Corporate Knowledge: After Dark -- Spurs 125, Mavs 92
    Oct 23 2025

Thank you to everyone who tuned in live for the first Corporate Knowledge: After Dark of the 2025-26 season, and what a show it was. I’m of course talking about Victor Wembanyama, not me. Whew, what a night!

    Topics included:

    • Vic is preposterous, and I’m running out of descriptive terms for what he’s doing
    • Steph Castle taking control of the offense in De’Aaron Fox’s stead, and building on where he left off last season
    • Dylan Harper overcame what looked like normal, early rookie jitters to find his sea legs off the bench
    • Keldon Johnson was everywhere, has never looked better in that reserve role
    • The Spurs are going to be more and more lethal in the open and broken court as these guys get reps and develop together
    • Second-side actions and attacking voids created by Wembanyama’s gravity are going to be key in mitigating the effects of San Antonio’s relative lack of shooting depth, and it has as many advantage creators off the dribble as it’s had in a long time
    • This is what a team looks like when it’s trying to win for real (I explain)
For those of you who would like to join live in the future and get in on the chat (and especially those from the Small Market Bias universe), you can do so by subscribing to the Corporate Knowledge newsletter for free (or paid!) at matthewtynan.substack.com and downloading the Substack app. You’ll get a notification when we hit the air, which will be shortly after as many road games as we can. If you do miss a show, fear not. They will be sent out via newsletter and on the podcast feed either late that night or at some point the next morning (like this).

    See everyone Friday night.

  • Another Spur is injured, but at least Wemby looks stupid good
    Oct 17 2025

First, the fellas somehow fall into a discussion about the NBA Cup and general health of the NBA before any Spurs talk. It was Trevor's fault.

Then, it's more injury news -- this time regarding Jeremy Sochan, who will miss the season opener in Dallas due to a wrist sprain.

After the break, it's time to take a look at the promising preseason performances of a number of Spurs, including the big man who looks like he's about to take over the league.
