Joining him is William C. Dement, MD, PhD, author of The Promise of Sleep. Dr. Dement is the Founder and Director of the Stanford University Sleep Research Center. He has co-authored greater than 300 scientific articles in the medical literature about sleep-related issues and is a leading expert worldwide about the topic. Dr. Dement is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine.
