My friend Laura Beisser and I recorded this episode back in early 2020 to encourage people to find your community at the gym. Just as I was getting ready to release the episode, the pandemic hit, and people were advised not to go to the gym, so we decided to hold off on the release.

In the summer of 2021, I was getting ready to ask Laura if it would be a good time to release the episode, as more people were getting back in the gym. Before I got the chance to ask, Laura shared the devastating news - she had been diagnosed with a rare type of leukemia. A podcast episode no longer seemed important as Laura was in for the fight for her life. She was so brave, and her family and her gym community were there for her. I wish I could have done more for her, and I think I am still in shock that she is no longer with us.

I listen to this episode to remember Laura and the vibrant energy she brought to this world. When I listen to her words and stories, it makes me want to live life like Laura, and today I want you to meet her. I believe you will learn so much from Laura, and she will continue to live on through the people she has impacted along her journey of life.

Thank you for getting to know my wonderful friend Laura. I encourage you to build your community, help people feel welcome, smile and live life like Laura did. She lived a beautiful life and made a big impact on my life.
