If church is supposed to be a community, what do we do when that community doesn't want us?

It's a question faced by LGBTQ2S+ christians around the world, and one that should NOT need to be asked. If church is supposed to be a community, what do we do when that community doesn't want us? If the church is a body, then the fear of including gender-diverse christians in their communities is akin to cutting off their own arm. The church is missing out on relationships with people who are beautifully and wonderfully made.

Dallas had the opportunity to interview Leo Wolters Tejera about the work they do through Conversations and on what it's like being to love God while being Non-Binary and Trans in an evangelical world that didn't want them back. There is much beauty to be heard in this conversation, and we hope you'll grow and learn from hearing from Leo as much as we did.

You can find Leo on Facebook, Instagram, Discord, and Youtube.

Be sure to listen to the Conversations Podcast to hear some excellent discussions with Leo and guests.

Leo is founder and facilitator of Conversations: Spiritually Minded Conversation About Life. Check out their website and if you want to join a safe space to have those types of conversations, check out their Facebook group.

  • Out Of Touch (w/ Shad)
    Jan 9 2022

We talk with Shad about his latest album (Tao) and what it's all about, his connection to faith, the complicated relationship we have with the country we live in, and we finally ask the hard hitting question no one has had the courage to ask...what is his real problem with dentists?

If you're a fan, listen up. If you haven't heard of him yet, then feast your ears on a brilliant musician and all around good person, and then go dance to his music.

Find more on Shad at his website.  You can follow shad on Twitter,  Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. We particularly recommend checking out The Old Prince Still Lives At Home video, where you'll see his fun loving spirit and creativity on full display.

You can watch Hip-Hop Evolution on Netflix.

Buy Shad's latest album Tao wherever you purchase music. Then go buy the rest of his music. You won't regret it.

  • The Dallas & Blair Shipwreck Hour - Season 3 Finale
    Aug 11 2021

We talk performative activism and update you on the shipwreck that is our lives. Maybe that's a bit dramatic. But it sure feels appropriate some days. Is anyone else really, really, really tired?

Huge thanks to Dallas for editing this episode as Blair came down with a severe case of lacking motivation. It's good to be back.

Since we recorded, the number of unmarked graves found at former Residential Schools has only increased. We must not forget.
