Donyale was the sixties It-Girl, but not in the United States. Even though she was born and raised in the U.S., her tall, lithe, impossibly thin frame, and exotic look created more curiousity than admiration.
Donyale's unique look caught on in Europe where she found a new home as an exoticized jewel, but exoticized, nonetheless.
