    May 12 2024
Join Pastor Nick Spencer as he dives into Ecclesiastes 1, exploring Solomon's quest for wisdom and understanding. Even as one of the wisest people ever, Solomon came to realize that knowledge and wisdom alone cannot satisfy the deep longings of the human soul. In this thought-provoking message, we'll examine the limits of human wisdom and the difference between knowledge and true wisdom that can only be found in Christ. You'll be encouraged to pursue wisdom by treasuring God's Word, following Jesus daily, and depending on the Holy Spirit for spiritual understanding. Don't miss this powerful sermon that provides perspective in our endless pursuit of meaning and reminds us to anchor our lives in the wisdom of God. • Redemption and Restoration
    Apr 28 2024
In the final chapter of the book of Ruth, we see two contrasting responses when it comes to being a redeemer. One man says the price is too high, while the other (Boaz) declares that no price is too high to redeem Ruth and restore Naomi's family line. Boaz's selfless actions foreshadow the ultimate redemption we have in Jesus Christ. Like Boaz, Jesus willingly, purposefully, faithfully, and unselfishly paid the ultimate price to redeem us and restore our relationship with God. As the sermon reminds us, "Jesus said there is no price too high to redeem you." This powerful message shows how the story of Ruth points to the greater story of our redemption through Christ. • Waiting with Trust
    Apr 21 2024
In this sermon, Pastor Nick Spencer continues his series on the story of Ruth by looking at chapter 3. We see Naomi's plan for Ruth to propose marriage to Boaz, the guardian-redeemer. Even though there is another redeemer who is more closely related, Boaz shows loving-kindness (hesed) by promising to take care of Ruth if the other redeemer does not fulfill his duty. Pastor Nick draws an application to young people about making the decision to seek the shelter and provision of Jesus, our ultimate Guardian-Redeemer.
