  • The Secret Police Academy Prequel Was A Sting On Super Bowl III
    Feb 15 2026

Our look into Secret Football History takes us back to our focus of this series of episodes, Carroll Rosenbloom.

In this edition, we track Rosenbloom's entry into the NFL with the second version of the Baltimore Colts, his ties to Bert Bell, who set up a sweetheart deal for Rosenbloom's entry into the league.

We also learn how Ed Sullivan, Hightower from Police Academy, and John F. Kennedy all play into Rosenbloom's alleged love for gambling on or even against his own team in two of the biggest football games in history.

  • Expansion, Gridlock, And Clean Hands
    Feb 2 2026

It is the dawn of a new decade in the National Football League as the league enters 1960 with infighting over expansion, the burgeoning fight with the American Football League, and needs a commissioner to handle those issues and more.

With the top candidates being a lawyer and a former FBI agent, things get interesting as we embed ourselves inside the Kenilworth Hotel over the course of a week in January 1960 through the eyes and words of Miami Herald reporters, most notably Edwin Pope, one of the first godfathers of Miami Sports journalism.
