About this listen

Join us for a fun chat with a regular guest on Books on the RIdge.

Bettie Boswell writes romantic suspense as well as romance and children's books, and also illustrates.

This time, we're returning to the western Ohio town of Forest Glen as friends met in previous books return to help a young woman deal with some nasty individuals who are stalking her. The first step is figuring out what they want, and why.

Carlton is a former federal agent, now working as bodyguard, and Leah is his current assignment. She's an author and illustrator, and runs a mule rescue ranch. Her mule Sylvester, who we met in "Hidden Witness," is in danger, and the men looking for him will stop at nothing to get him.

Bettie shares some of her writing process and the inspirations behind various characters and events in the story
