Gewürze, Sandstrand, blaues Meer. Der Name Sansibar ist bekannt, wo und was es genau ist, weiß man dann doch oft nicht. Der Archipel im indischen Ozean nahe der ostafrikanischen Küste ist ein Teilstaat von Tansania.
Margit Atzler unterhält sich mit Birgit Anna Konteh, eine österreichische Psychotherapeutin und Gründerin des „Furaha ya Moyo“-Kreis-Communityprojekts auf Sansibar - über Natur, Architektur, Wirtschaftslage, Kultur und über die Versuche, gemeinsam mit Menschen vor Ort ein „gutes Leben auf Augenhöhe“ zu gestalten.
Anschließend geht es in einer Reportage von Gerald Navara in die Ausstellung in der Hauptstadt Stone Town an der Stelle, wo sich einst der Sklavenumschlagplatz befand.
