About this listen
New creators, beware! Scammers are always lurking, ready to take advantage of your hard work. In this episode, we take a look at a common scam targeting createors so you don’t fall victim.
How do they scam you? Fake clients may:
🔹 Ask for free samples or “test” work before paying.
🔹 Insist on using shady payment methods like crypto or checks or payments / delayed payments that bounce.
🔹 Disappear after you send the final piece—without paying.
How can you stay safe?
✅ Always research who you're working with.
✅ Accept only trusted payments like PayPal or debit cards.
✅ Never provide your work before receiving full payment.
