  • The Road to Redemption: Finding Self Love and Giving Back after Public Shame with Jim McGreevey
    Apr 27 2026

Today on the Say it Here podcast, Judi Franco and Corie Adjmi interview former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey about personal growth, healing from shame, and embracing his second act after coming out as gay and publicly resigning in the midst of personal scandal. McGreevey reflects on the struggles that existed for gay folks when he was growing up and how a lot (but not everything) has changed these days in our country. He describes finding purpose in public service through the New Jersey Reentry Corporation and supports people returning from jail, veterans with PTSD, people in addiction recovery, and domestic violence survivors. McGreevey explains the loss of agency and survival mentality in prison and is an advocate for rethinking incarceration with a focus on rehabilitation. Jim speaks candidly with Judi and Corie about embracing second chances, finding self love, and navigating complex feelings and modern masculinity through compassion, connection and giving back.

  • Shedding the Lies We Tell Ourselves and Overcoming Shame with Geneen Roth
    Apr 13 2026
A famous ice princess once said, “Let it Go”, and best-selling author Geneen Roth would have to agree. Although her past self would have chosen to let go of pounds, wisdom and personal growth have led Geneen to realize that it’s the lies she was telling herself that needed to go if she ever hoped to recover from the disordered eating and emotional regression that were holding her back from the self love she deserved. Today on Say it Here, Corie Adjmi and Judi Franco talk to Geneen about her new book, Love, Finally: Untangling the Knot Between Mothers, Daughters, and Food. After enduring an abusive relationship with her mother throughout her childhood, Geneen found herself yo-yoing between anorexia and rapid weight gain. But in releasing Diet culture narratives, addressing the emotional regression behind her hunger, and forgiving her mother, Geneen has found a way to recover from the internalized lies about herself and food that have been haunting her since childhood. She now chooses self love and care, which she now understands she has always deserved. And if you too have suffered from disordered eating, diet culture lies, and the emotional regression that comes from a traumatic childhood, please clear a spot on your book shelf for Geneen’s cycle-breaking new book. Because you deserve to experience the peace of self love too.

  • Transforming Toddlerhood: Empowering Parents to Change the Terrible Twos into Teachable Twos with Devon Kuntzman
    Mar 30 2026

Today on the Say it Here podcast, Judi Franco and Corie Adjmi interview toddler parenting expert and ICF-certified coach Devon Kuntzman about her book and program Transforming Toddlerhood and why “toddlerhood is terrible” is a myth. Devon explains toddlers’ limited impulse control, emotional regulation, and communication skills, while empowering parents to treat behavior as communication rather than just “bad behavior” needing punishment. She offers a new look at parenting young children by emphasizing connection, curiosity, clear limits, consistent follow-through, and skill-teaching (often after everyone calms down). Devon also warns against both authoritarian obedience-first parenting and overcorrecting into giving kids too much power in their relationships with their parents. And when it comes to struggling with public tantrums or potty-training snafus, she covers all of that too. If parenting through toddlerhood has been an uphill battle, this episode is for you! And remember - your kiddo is experiencing constant growth, but parenting is a journey of personal growth as well. Empowering parents is what Devon does best, so hit play for a much-needed morale boost.
