Today we will look at what it takes to save lives in conflict zones, working to understand what are the challenges and methods used to try and overcome them.

There are only a small number of people who can honestly say they have an in-depth understanding of deploying and operating medically in conflict zones. Our guest tonight Mr Richard Villar has three decades of experience including service as Regimental Medical Officer to the Special Air Service and deployments in, Sarajevo, The Falkland War, Afghanistan, Libya, Ethiopia. Most recently he has returned from Gaza and has articulated his experiences in his latest book 'Gaza Medic'.
