About this listen
You know, both Saul and David were kings of Israel, and both surrounded themselves with musicians. But their motives, their culture, and the fruit of their music were completely different. And I believe this is a prophetic word for musicians and worshipers today.
Saul’s musicians played to manage a crisis. David’s musicians played to minister to the Lord. One was about relief; the other was about revelation.
So here’s the question for us as worshiping musicians today:
- Are we playing just to make people feel better?
- Or are we playing to enthrone God and release His presence?
- Are we entertainers, therapists, or are we ministers before the Lord?
Relief will always fade. But revelation transforms.
