It begins with eerie tales passed down from his grandfather—stories of glowing-eyed creatures prowling the ridgelines since 1902—and builds to a terrifying truth: a bear hunter’s shot in 1981 didn’t just wound a Sasquatch, it unleashed a predator that stalked the hollows, perhaps even claiming the lives of missing children.

    Clyde’s account avoids the usual Bigfoot clichés.
