Robert, born and raised in Dallas (Texas), now living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, has worked very little in his life. For him, work is not work unless you would rather be doing something different.

He feels he has been very fortunate to never have had to commute in a car and never has been caught up in something he disliked or did not believe in. Having no children gave him a lot of freedom. He was a lawyer, an investment banker, an entrepreneur and a hotelier.

Consistent throughout his life was his intention to learn about truth, existence and how to reduce the suffering in the world – including his own. And so he became a wondering wanderer, exploring all corners of the globe with the eyes of a child.
