About this listen
Thank you Devon Skerry for your continued support of The Overwatch Collective by donating monthly and representing Rust and Iron Clothing Company.
Devon spent 9 years in the Air Force National Guard and was working on refueling various fighter jets over combat zones. Throughout his time in the National Guard, Devon began volunteering as a fire fighter before becoming a full time firefighter.
Devon shares a tragic story about being in an ambulance with a young patient and being involved in a traffic collision, which was extremely traumatic. Take a dive into his story, which includes the common challenges with worker's compensation.
We also discuss comparing trauma, suicidal ideations, self-awareness, childhood trauma and its effect on our community, etc. Part 2 coming soon!
