On this VIDEO episode of Southeast Iowa Today John Bain attends the Henry County Board of Supervisors Meeting at the Henry County Courthouse in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. The Board had on their agenda: A. Discussion and action concerning public notice posting of intent to appoint interim County Attorney. B. Discussion scheduling of interviews for those already known to be interested in the position. Although the meeting was open to the public, no opportunity of public comment was given. It all happened February 10, 2026.

On this VIDEO episode of Southeast Iowa Today John Bain attends the Washington Iowa Chamber of Commerce Legislative Brief with District 92 Iowa State Representative Heather Hora. There were lots of citizens on hand for this event which was hosted by Executive Director of the Washington Chamber of Commerce Michelle Redlinger and Washington Chamber of Commerce Board Member Mason Fraker. Some of the citizens were emotional over their topics of concerns to the point of nearing being disrespectful. Representative Hora handled it all with professionalism and grace.
