About this listen

What is Scoliosis? Scoliosis is the abnormal twisting and curvature of the spine and can affect people of any age, from babies to adults. Having scoliosis means that a person’s spine curves to the side. The spine can sometimes twist at the same time and as a result, this twisting can pull the ribcage out of position. Living with scoliosis can be challenging and sometimes painful and it is important that a person with scoliosis sees a scoliosis specialist. We can put you in touch with scoliosis specialists in your area. Scoliosis Support & Research is a charity that promotes and funds innovative research to improve treatment options for patients and we offer guidance and support to individuals and families affected by scoliosis. We also fundraise to ensure our work can continue long into the future. We educate so the medical facts are understood, and we connect people living with scoliosis. We would love to welcome you as a fundraiser. Here you can listen to inspiring podcasts from some of our current amazing fundraisers! Get in touch with Will to find out more fundraising@ssr.org.uk.
