In this episode of Meekness or Weakness, we examined James 1:21 and the call to “receive with meekness the engrafted word.” We explored the difference between lambano, which can imply grasping knowledge, and dechomai, which means welcoming truth with humility. We saw that hearing the Word is not the same as receiving it, and that knowledge without meekness leads to pride and hardness. The engrafted Word transforms only when it is embraced with surrender. Meekness before Scripture is not weakness — it is the strength to bow before truth and allow it to change us.
