You’re Not Ready to Heal Yet — But Are You Willing to Try?

A lot of women say they want to heal, but they keep putting it off.

Not because they don’t care.
Not because they’re avoiding the work.
But because they keep waiting for this moment where they feel “ready.”

Ready usually means feeling calm.
Or stable.
Or less affected by what happened.
Or sure, they won’t fall apart once they open things up.

In this episode, I talk about why that version of “ready” rarely shows up — and why waiting for it keeps so many women stuck longer than they need to be. Healing doesn’t start when life feels quiet or when you finally feel strong enough. It usually starts while you’re still scared, still guarded, and still unsure of what’s going to come up.

I break down the real difference between being ready and being willing and why willingness doesn’t mean pushing yourself or forcing anything. It means being honest about where you are and choosing not to abandon yourself while you’re there.

We talk about why your body stays on guard, why fear shows up even when you want to heal, and why needing certainty before you begin makes healing feel impossible. This isn’t about motivation or mindset. It’s about understanding what actually helps people start — and keep going — without overwhelming themselves.

If you’ve been telling yourself, “I’ll heal when I’m ready,” this episode offers a different way to look at it. One that doesn’t require confidence, answers, or emotional stability, just a willingness to stay present with yourself instead of waiting to feel different first.
