About this listen

Welcome to Season 4 – Episode 4!

This week, we’re taking a sharp left turn from Kansas and landing in Miami Beach. In July of 1997, world-renowned fashion icon Gianni Versace was gunned down on the steps of his own mansion.

And at the center of it all? A social climber named Andrew Cunanan.

Today, we’re digging into how a kid from San Diego spiraled into a cross-country killing spree, how he managed to stay one step ahead of the entire country for three months, and how it all ended in Miami leaving the fashion world in shambles.

Let's break down the chaos that Cunanan left behind. Grab your drink, because the poison in this episode is The Red Carpet.

If you want to drink with us, you’ll need vodka, Campari, pomegranate liqueur, lemon, and simple syrup.

The Red Carpet:

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce Campari
  • 1 ounce pomegranate liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • Lemon slice, for garnish

Shake the all ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon - or don’t.

Enjoy!
