About this listen
Welcome to Season 4 - Episode 1!
This Halloween, we’re back — and we’re not just telling a ghost story, we’re living one.
Join me! I'm with Sal as we record inside the infamous Congress Plaza Hotel in downtown Chicago. A place that’s been called one of the most haunted hotels in America. From shadowy hallways to creaking elevators, we’re chasing the same whispers that terrified guests for over a century.
I’ll share why this city feels like it was built on “sour ground.” And Sal? He'll be right there with me as we explore the hotel that tourists say you should never spend the night in. You’ll hear it all — straight from inside the Congress Plaza itself..
The spirits aren't the only things restless, the spirit we'll be drinking in this episode is the Penicillin.
If you want to drink with us, you will need ginger, honey, lemon juice, ginger-honey syrup, blended and single malt scotch whiskey.
The recipe for the Penicillin is as follows:
- 2 oz blended scotch
- 1/4 oz single malt scotch
- 3/4 oz Lemon juice
- 3/4 oz honey-ginger syrup
- Garnish with candied ginger
Fill cocktail shaker with ice, add ingerdients (except candied ginger), shake ingredients until chilled. Strain into cocktail glass over fresh ice. Garnish with candied ginger.
Enjoy!
