About this listen
Restart Africa is a charity based in the beautiful Nakuru county in Kenya, The charity rescues some of the worst children's cases, rehome and look after them at there centre. Show the children love, support and care as well as putting them through high education. From the ages of nursery to university level.
The charity was started in 2007 by Mary Coulson MBE who couldn't bare to see the effects of the civil war in that same year hence opening a small shack in town starting with six boys and no money. Fast forward over 15 years the charity now has its official centre with boarding houses, offices, classrooms, kitchens, gardens and much more! Currently looking after over 100 children.
In the episode we speak to a mix of staff, volunteers and the charity founder Mary Coulson MBE. So many life lessons learnt so give it a listen.
