About this listen
Didn't Go Platinum wanders back into the metalcore realm. For this episode, we're taking a deep dive into All Hail by Norma Jean. The Georgia veterans were among the first wave of metalcore bands to threaten the mainstream, but have tended to be overshadowed by their more famous peers. All Hail is their eighth full-length album, and it's a cracker.
This record was suggested by the horror writer Molly Macabre, who joins regular host Tim Bolitho-Jones to discuss why All Hail might have got lost in the mix. Along the way, the duo also talk about the practicalities of fighting zombies with a nailgun and precisely what the difference is between regular and Christian metalcore. Slight spoiler: it's Christianity.
You can find more about Molly and her work at her official website, and check out her books on Goodreads.
