In 1994 mochten de Verenigde Staten voor de allereerste keer een WK organiseren en het was meteen een schot in de roos: nooit waren er zoveel toeschouwers in de stadions. Voor onze Rode Duivels was het letterlijk zweten en zwoegen, want ze speelden tornooien bij 47°C! Toch zat de sfeer er meer dan goed in. In hun vrije tijd was er tijd om te shoppen, te golfen, te pokeren én uit te gaan... al was dat niet evident.
