This is what love looks like when it can't fix anything. When presence is the only gift you have to offer. When showing up matters more than speaking up.
Jesus asked His friends to do one thing in Gethsemane: stay awake with Him. Not solve His crisis, not prevent His suffering - just be present while He faced His darkest hour. "Could you not keep watch with me for one hour?"
The ministry of presence: love that measures time not in minutes but in heartbeats. Sometimes the greatest gift you can offer is assurance that someone won't face their darkness alone.
